Your expertise and management skills can make a significant contribution to our ongoing success. We need your project management skills to handle building of new facilities, infrastructure, and managing building improvements; and your real estate experience to manage the negotiation, management, and administration of Port property leasing ensuring growth in the Port’s leasing portfolio. You will be key in ensuring we continue to provide safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing facilities in conjunction with the department managers. You will also work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure effective marketing of Port properties and development.
Successful candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as management, public facility planning, public administration or property management. Advanced degree a plus. Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in the areas of operations, facility maintenance, project management, public administration, land acquisition and leasing and capital improvement/project implementation with a thorough knowledge of methods and techniques used in facility planning, capital improvement planning and financing. Knowledge of pertinent Federal, state and local regulations, policies, procedures. Experience with high level budgeting and administration. Excellent written and verbal communications skills across all levels of employees, commissioners, tenants and the public essential for this position. Approach to all areas of work with the highest ethics, good judgment, and confidentiality essential. Successful supervision of maintenance work crew and demonstrated leadership abilities required to succeed in our team.
