Newly Constructed Boat Launch and Float

The new Evergreen Rotary Park Boat Launch project replaced an existing, failing ramp, piles and floats last improved in 1988.  The existing ramp was cracking and spalling as well as having issues with sedimentation.

The new design and construction utilized pre-cast reinforced grooved concrete planks over a steel rail foundation and features state-of-the art, 8-foot-wide aluminum floats, replacing aging 6’ wide concrete floats. The new floats meet ADA accessibility guidelines.

Construction was completed by Quigg Brothers, Inc. from Aberdeen, WA, who also completed the Water Street Boat Launch in Port Orchard for the Port of Bremerton in 2012. The design & Engineering was completed by PND Engineers in Seattle.  PND was also the Engineer of Record for the Water Street project. The City of Bremerton was involved in the Permitting & Inspection.
Open communication between the contractor, Port, and engineer helped to make this a successful project.

The Evergreen Rotary Park Boat Launch was a cooperative Port of Bremerton / City of Bremerton facility providing parking and a two-lane launching ramp with center line floats to make launching easier in the sometimes swift Port Washington Narrows current.

The classic Park has long been a popular picnic area with its picturesque setting. The boat launch itself belongs to the Port; parking and all other park facilities belong to the City of Bremerton.
