S. Departmentof Commerce, features Washington in a special Chinese language editionbeing distributed in China. The translated edition of America’s export promotion magazine is beingdistributed, in partnership with the China Council for the Promotion ofInternational Trade, to more than 10,000 Chinese business executives andpolicymakers, and will be distributed at industry trade shows throughoutChina. The Chinese language version of the magazine is also availableonline at www.export.gov/cnusa. “Commercial News USA reaches 400,000 readers in 145 countries around theworld,” says Gregory Sandler, publisher of the magazine. “It is designedto help small- and medium-sized American companies find internationalagents, distributors and buyers. The Chinese language edition will helpU.S. exporters enter one of the world’s fastest growing consumer andbusiness markets.” Commercial News USA has been the official export promotion magazine of theCommerce Department since the magazine was launched in 1978. According tothe Commerce Department, in 2003, the magazine generated 872 successfulexport transactions resulting in more than $109 million in sales. China represents an important market for Washington exporters.
